GT-1000CORE System Program ( Ver.1.13 )
HOW TO KNOW THE VERSION
Before you start, check the system program version of your GT-1000CORE.
- While holding down [ EXIT ] button, turn power ON.
Continue to hold down EXIT until the GT-1000CORE logo appears on the display.
- After a short while, the version information appears on the display.
If this shows the latest version (Version 1.13 or later), there's no need to update your GT-1000CORE.
- After verifying the displayed version, turn off the power.

Bug Fixes
The following bugs were fixed.
- ASSIGN PC cannot be sent to more than one MIDI channel.
- When executing INSERT of WRITE function, EFFECT paramters which are added at ver.1.10 become the initial values.
- When changing the BPM from BTS on the effect edit view, the calculated DELAY TIME is not updated.

Additional Functions
- "MASTERING FX," which demonstrates potential for line output, has been added to FX TYPE.
Eleven types of settings that combine multiple effects such as multi-band compressor, limiter, enhancer, and equalizer have been provided as TYPE settings. Full-fledged mastering to boost the acoustic pressure of the sound and make sound contours more distinct can now be carried out.
The GT-1000CORE is a processor distinguished by a vivid amp sound, but the addition of these effects makes it easy obtain a line sound having adaptable fighting potential even in recording that demands precise adjustment.
We recommend using these with placement after an SP.SIMULATOR.
- Ten types of SP TYPE settings designed based on IR data having a realistic presence have been added to the SP.SIMULATOR parameters.
- Ribbon mic and blended dynamic/ribbon mic MIC TYPE settings have been added to the SP.SIMULATOR parameters.
- Five types of BOSS and Roland delays have been added to the MASTER DELAY parameter.
The DD-8's acclaimed WARM and GLITCH settings, the vintage digital SDE-3000, and the still-popular STANDARD and ANALOG parameters featured on the DD-20 have been added.
Bug Fixes
The following bugs were fixed.
- ASSIGN values set for an external pedal at powerup take effect.
- The operation of BOSS TONE STUDIO becomes extremely slow due to MIDI IN THRU and USB IN THRU settings.

Bug Fixes
The following bugs were fixed.
- Depending on compressor settings, noise sometimes occurs when switching patches.
- Under certain conditions, ROUTING of DIVIDER fails to work as desired when switching patches.
- When the [UP] and [DOWN] switches are pressed at the same time at the tuner screen to quit, then on next use, the tuner is set to "Monophonic Tuner."

The following bugs were fixed.
- Under certain conditions, VIBRATO fails to work as desired when switching patches.
- Behavior is not as desired when the STEREO LINK parameter for SP.SIMULATOR is set to OFF.
- The effect level sometimes rises when CARRYOVER is active.
- Under particular conditions, the DUCK parameter for REVERB fails to operate as desired when patches are switched.
- Other minor bugs.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO UPDATE YOUR GT-1000CORE
- GT-1000CORE
- USB cable
* The update is carried out with the unit and the computer connected via USB.
Provide a cable suitable for connection to the computer you're using.
- Computer (Windows or Mac) equipped with a USB port compliant with USB 2.0
CAUTION WHEN PERFORMING THE UPDATE
- If you update on the normal mode of GT-1000CORE against the correct procedrue, this update data may destroy the system program.
- Never power-off your GT-1000CORE while the update is in progress!
If a power failure or similar accident occurs during the update process, the GT-1000CORE won’t be able to start up in normal operating mode. This will require servicing, so you will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs.
- We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program. Please perform the update responsibly, following the directions given in this document.
GETTING THE UPDATE FILE
Download the file named "gt1000core_sys_v113.zip".
Please open/extract the downloaded "gt1000core_sys_v113.zip" file on your computer to get the update file in the "gt1000core_sys_v113" folder.
PROCEDURE FOR THE UPDATE
- Hold down [ WRITE ] button and turn on the power.
* Continue to hold down WRITE until "GT-1000CORE Updater" appears on the display.
- Connect the computer to the GT-1000CORE's USB port by a USB cable.
- Open the "GT-1000CORE" drive folder in your personal computer.
With Windows
Within My Computer (or Computer), open "GT-1000CORE" (or Removable Disk).
With macOS / OS X
On the desktop, open the "GT-1000CORE" icon.
- Copy (drag and drop) the "GT-1000CORE_UPA_up.bin" in the "gt1000core_sys_v113" folder into the root directory of the "GT-1000CORE" drive.
- After the copy has been completed, unmount or remove the drive on your computer.
With Windows
Right-click on the "GT-1000CORE" icon in My Computer (or the "Removable Disk (*:)" icon) and execute "Eject."
With macOS / OS X
Drag the "GT-1000CORE" icon to the Trush icon in the Dock.
- Disconnect the USB cable.
The message "Execute update ? ([WRITE]: execute)" will appear on the display.
- Press [ WRITE ] button to start the update process.
- The message "Update completed. Turn off the GT-1000CORE." will appear on the display when the update process completes.
- Turn the GT-1000CORE power off.
Follow the procedure for verifying the version to verify that the version has been updated.
