Please check the version of the system working on your WAZA Tube Amp Expander before downloading the archive file.
- Turn the POWER switch on while holding down the [ SOLO/EQ ] button.
The "POWER" indicator lights yellow.
- If the indicators light up as described below, the system is at the latest version.
- The "INPUT SIG/PEAK" indicator lights up red.
- The "WRITE" indicator lights up green.
- The "SOLO/EQ" indicator and the "AMP CTL" indicator light up blue.
If the indicators light up in a different way than just described, perform an update.
- When you have finished verifying the version, turn off the power.
* Don't perform the update if the product is already up-to-date.

Bug Fix
The following bug was fixed.
- Frequency response of user IR data in CAB/MIC SIMULATION ( USER1 - USER4 ) are not correctly reproduced.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO UPDATE YOUR WAZA Tube Amp Expander
- WAZA Tube Amp Expander
- USB cable
* The update is carried out with the unit and the computer connected via USB.
Provide a cable suitable for connection to the computer you're using.
- Computer (Windows or Mac) equipped with a USB port compliant with USB 2.0.
CAUTION WHEN PERFORMING THE UPDATE
- Never apply this update data to any product other than the WAZA Tube Amp Expander. This update data may destroy the data or system program of other products.
- Never power-off your WAZA Tube Amp Expander while the update is in progress!
If a power failure or similar accident occurs during the update process, the WAZA Tube Amp Expander won't be able to start up in normal operating mode. This will require servicing, so you will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs.
- We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program. Please perform the update responsibly, following the directions given in this document.
GETTING THE UPDATE FILE
Please open/extract the downloaded "waza_tae_sys_v203.zip" file on your computer to get the two update files named "ROMINFO.TXT" and "WAZA-TAE.BIN" in the "waza_tae_sys_v203" folder.
Please make sure you have unzipped the downloaded update file.
PROCEDURE FOR THE UPDATE
Caution
- You must not rename the extracted files.
- Never turn off the WAZA Tube Amp Expander's power while the update is in progress. Otherwise the system program or the WAZA Tube Amp Expander itself may be destroyed.
Please install the extracted system program files into your WAZA Tube Amp Expander according to the following procedure.
- Turn the POWER switch on while holding down the [ WRITE ] button.
The "POWER" indicator lights green, and the [ WRITE ] button flashes green.
* Do not connect the WAZA Tube Amp Expander and the computer yet.
- Connect the computer to the WAZA Tube Amp Expander's USB port by a USB cable.
The [ WRITE ] button stops flashing and stay lighted, and a "WAZA-TAE" drive appears on the computer screen.
- Open the WAZA-TAE icon.
"Removable Disk (*:)" may appear instead of the WAZA-TAE icon.
- Copy (drag and drop) all the files included in the "waza_tae_sys_v203" folder into the "WAZA-TAE" icon.
* Do not copy the "waza_tae_sys_v203" folder.
- Disconnect the WAZA-TAE from the computer.
With Windows
Right-click on the "WAZA-TAE" icon in My Computer (or the "Removable Disk (*:)" icon) and execute "Eject."
With macOS
Drag the "WAZA-TAE" icon to the Trash icon in the Dock.
- Disconnect the USB cable.
The [ WRITE ] button flashes red.
- Press [ WRITE ] button to start the update process.
The [ WRITE ] button stops flashing and stay lighted.
While the update is in progress, the "FX LOOP", "EFFECTS", "SOLO/EQ" and "AMP CTL" indicators will flash/light in order.
- When the update has finished, the "FX LOOP", "EFFECTS", "SOLO/EQ" and "AMP CTL" indicators slowly flash simultaneously.
- Turn the WAZA Tube Amp Expander power off.
This completes the update operation. The new system program runs at the next startup.
Follow the procedure for verifying the version to verify that the version has been updated.
