I saw this picture on the campus of one of the elementary schools that I work on, and it was too good not to share.
I love that the students are being taught to have a positive mindset. What we think about ourselves is more important than what anyone else thinks of us, children need to know that at an early age.
As adults, our mindset sometimes holds us back from being our authentic self.
I had to learn to think differently, particularly about myself. I was in a emotionally abusive marriage for 15 years, so healing my mind was one of the hardest things I ever had to do in my life. Positive thinking is hard enough without having to reprogram.
I focus on thinking positive now. I sometimes catch myself thinking negative thoughts and immediately change what I’m thinking. This is one reason why I loved seeing this in an elementary school. Young children need to know that positive thinking makes for a better more positive life.
As an adult, tell us, in the comments, how to you handle negative thinking.
How do you focus your thinking?
